What is Cryotherapy?
Cryotherapy is a treatment using a cryosauna to reduce musculoskeletal pain, inflammation, and rejuvenate your body at the cellular level.
How does the Cryosauna work?
The cryosauna uses nitrogen gas to lower the client’s skin surface temperature from normal body temperature to about 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit in 30 to 45 seconds. It keeps the skin temperature that way for 2-3 minutes. The skin reacts to the cold and send messages to the brain that stimulates the body to go into survival mode by shunting blood from the extremities to the core, where the blood is enriched with oxygen, enzymes, and nutrients. As the body re-warms, the nutrient rich blood is pushed back out to the extremities. Enriched blood promotes internal organ regeneration, expels toxins from subcutaneous layers, initiates cell renewal process, triggers replacement of damaged cells and eliminates dead cells from peripheral tissues. It is rejuvenating the body at the cellular level.

Floatation therapy provides a remarkable way to calm the mind, relax the body and amplify the spirit. The experience involves lying on your back in an enclosed float cabin, which is filled with ten inches of water heated to the same temperature as your skin and saturated with eight hundred pounds of pharmaceutical grade Epsom salt. The amount of Epsom salt used provides buoyancy of the body that has been compared to the sensation of floating weightlessly in space. The anti-gravity benefits alone permit decompression of the spine, elimination of pressure points on the body, and allows for blood to flow efficiently throughout your extremities. Once comfortably relaxed in the water, tactile sensation of where the water begins and your body ends are integrated into one, leaving you feeling as though your body has disappeared and your mind has just begun.

NormaTec Compression Therapy
What would NormaTec Compression Therapy be useful for?
NormaTec is most commonly used to help with areas of poor circulation, whether that is from tough workout resulting in pain and inflammation, or from an injury or post-surgical inflammation, or suffer from diabetes. NormaTec helps to break up the lactic acid that builds up in the muscle tissue, enhance blood flow, and speed recovery.
What areas of the body does this work?
Arms: compression starts at the fingertips and works its way up towards the scapula.
Hips: compression starts at the mid-thigh and works its way to the lower back and abdomen.
Legs: compression starts at the toes and works its way to the top of the thigh.
How long does a session take?
Typical sessions run anywhere between 30-60 minutes. To receive the full benefits of NormaTec, we suggest using it for at least 30 minutes.
What should I wear?
We advise that you wear comfortable, tight-fitting clothes. The reason for this is at times the sleeves can compress fairly tight and looser fitting clothing can bunch causing an uncomfortable experience.
